First, everyone here at Innovative Concepts wants to thank you for choosing us as your service provider.
Once you approve the migration of your current phone system to Innovative Concepts, our staff will only need a few things from you. They are indicated below in purple.
Here are the most common migrations steps:
- Create the new Elevate account on our icVOIP servers (At least 2 servers on the west coast and 2 on the east coast)
- Use the Category links to the right of this page to learn more about Elevate
- Create users
- Assign each user an extension (usually starting at x101)
- Send each user an email containing their temporary password
- Assign the primary business number to be each user’s outgoing Caller ID
- Enable voicemail transcription for each user
- Order phones
- Set up the applications for each user

- Initial Setup Of Your Account (for anyone)
- Windows/Mac or Mobile (for advanced users)

- Set up Groups
- Create a Receptionists group that will receive incoming phone calls prior to sending the caller to the auto attendant (after 5 rings)
- Provide the list of users who should belong to this group, if any
- Provide a list of any other groups needed (i.e. Sales, Bookkeeping, etc.)

- Set up the Auto Attendant
- Assign a temporary phone number and an extension (generally x100) to access the auto attendant
- Create 2 profiles (8:00-5:00, Monday-Friday and After-Hours) that each have their own outgoing message and options tree
- Provide actual working hours
- Write the outgoing message script for each profile
- Provide assistance in recording the outgoing messages
- Provide the desired options tree for each profile
- Set up an online web fax
- Assign a temporary phone number
- Set up phones
- Configure standard buttons
- Review the phone’s features
- Forward the primary business number and the fax number to the temporary numbers
- Provide assistance in requesting this from the existing telephone provider
- Submit a request for all of the numbers to be ported to Elevate
- Replace the auto-attendant and fax temporary numbers with the real ones
- Assign any other phone numbers ported as needed
- Ensure the previous telephone provider has completely closed the account
- Enjoy your new phones system
